Having just signed up for this blog it got me thinking about the annoying questions you are asked when signing up for anything on the internet.
Enter your password. Re-enter your password.
Enter your email. Re-enter your email.
Jesus. Do it once, get it right move on!
What's the purpose of the 're-enter'? To make sure that you have typed in your email address correctly?
Is there anyone in the world that doesn't just copy and paste from the 'enter' field to the 're-enter' field? All it means is that I'm going to put the wrong address in twice.
Or is it just that the Form is slightly neurotic and needy; "Type email address" "Really, is that really it, you're sure you're not giving me a fake address? you can tell me, I can take it." "Type it again, just to make sure. To prove to me that you are being truthful."
If they really wanted to make it fun they could blank out the address after the first time so that if you are typing a fake one then you at least have to remember what it was...
Ah, how lucky it is that anyone can start a blog about anything...
